KEYPORT — A crowd of about 3,000 is expected Saturday to attend the Spanish-American Festival at Broad and First Streets.
The festival, now in its 17th year, will run from noon to 7:30 p.m. at Beach Park.
Organizers from the Keyport Spanish-American Club describe the party as a giant family picnic where you can chow down on Latino fare and dance to live music.
The Atomic Band, Ray Rodriguez y su Sabroso, DJ Lady C and La Comai Buena de N.J. will all perfrom.
The day isn’t all fun and games. A total of $5,000 in scholarships will be awarded to three outstanding Spanish-American borough students.
