The Renegades, Monmouth Rugby Football Club’s women’s team, is taking on the Village Lions at Randall’s Island, N.Y. today seeking their second victory.

They had a bye for the season’s second week, and they are trying to capitalize off to a strong start with an opening week victory over Albany.

The Monmouth men remain on the road. They head to Montclair today looking to rebound from two tough losses last week against Union.

An injury depleted Monmouth Division 2 side fell behind early and was unable to rally behind tries from Chris Sullivan and Rob Benedetto to complete the comeback.  A late converted try by Union sealed their loss at 29-12.

Monmouth Rugby did not provide a score report for their Division 3 team.

Monmouth’s record moves to 1-1 for both Division 2 and Division 3.

The women’s and mens’ teams return home to Thompson Park in Lincroft on Oct. 3rd
